Dear Salesians of Don Bosco!

I’m very happy to spend these two days with you in Salesio Gakuin. Yesterday I met many Salesian teachers and students.
And one of the students told me: The best in our school… is Don Bosco! Congratulations for the lively Don Bosco spirit in your school! I would like to challenge you with this question:
‘What makes you fully joyful and deeply happy?’
I believe that the students who did the volunteer work for the homeless in Hamamatsu experienced a great joy! I encourage you to grow in the spirit of service and volunteer work!
There is not greater joy than the happiness of serving other people in need, like that of Saint Mother Teresa and Don Bosco!
I wish you today some little experience of service, to grow in joy. With Don Bosco I wish you to be true Salesians today
and Salesians for ever!
